Gratitude

So about three days ago I got hit with a really bad back spasm which had led me to be stuck on bed rest since cause I can’t do much without it causing immense pain. This includes basic daily needs like brushing my teeth or going for a shower without it cause me really bad back pain. This got me thinking that there is so much that we do in daily life that we don’t even realize that we take for granted. Like walking around the house. Some so many people might not even have the ability to do that and these past three days has brought that to my attention so much. I'm currently finding it hard to even sit up straight which makes me feel so useless. I am a person who likes doing things herself, at least basic things like this and having to have someone who helps me get up and help me walk to my room makes me feel so down and useless but it has given me time to think about how lucky we are. I am so lucky to even be able to think that ‘ya when I get better I can hit the gym again or walk around my house with ease’ when that can be a privilege for some and I just wanted to say in this post that be happy and grateful for everything we have because no matter how small it is we still can do that one activity and that in itself is amazing. I am so lucky to have come back home before any borders closed and am home with my parents and siblings. I am so grateful for them taking care of me these past few days.
